    Yes, our gift cards can be purchased in store in Century Complex during our opening hours. Century Gift Cards can be redeemed in Century Cinemas, Century Play and Backstage Bar & Grill.   • expand_moreDo I require ID to purchase a ticket or watch a movie in the cinema?
    Yes in some cases. ID may be required for 12A, 15A, 16 & 18 certificate films. A valid Third Level Student ID is required when purchasing student tickets. In the event of a dispute, the cinema manager's decision is final.
  • expand_moreWhy can't I take my 13 year old child into a 16 rated film even if they are accompanied by me?
    The Irish Film Censor's Office is the body that gives ratings to all films that are shown in Ireland. For a 16 certified movie the rating is very clear, "No-one younger than 16 may see a '16' film in a cinema". In this case it is not a parental decision to make, and by law, Cinemas must do as much as possible to ensure that children do not gain entry to films which are not suitable for them as set out in the ratings guidelines. Identification as proof of age may be required. More information is available from www.ifco.ie.

The Films We Show

  • expand_moreWhy can't I find out what times the films will be showing at Century Cinemas next month?
    Like most cinemas, we can only work on our film programme one week at a time and just under a week in advance. There are many reasons for this, but the main reason is that each week we have to analyse the previous weekend's box office and look at how each of the films have performed. This is so we can bring together a programme, which has the most popular films showing at the most convenient times for the benefit of our audiences. Normally by the Tuesday evening of each week you can start booking your tickets for the forthcoming weekend's new releases. In the case of 'big event movies' we try to have the times programmed for sale a few weeks in advance, where possible.
  • expand_moreWhy are some films showing in other Irish cinemas but are not showing at Century Cinemas?
    Sometimes the film distributors simply do not have enough copies of their film to cover all the cinemas in Ireland. Unfortunately, as a result, audiences occasionally have to wait several weeks until enough copies become available.
  • expand_moreWhy do some of the official studio websites advertise a different or an earlier release date for some of the films on centurycinemas.ie?
    Most of the film websites are constructed for the American market, so they often show the American release dates for their films. Sometimes these sites will have an option to click on 'international sites', however the only difference between the American and International sites will be the release date. Frequently when a film approaches its Irish release date, the film distributors will create an Irish website for the film - but this is not always the case. At centurycinemas.ie we will always endeavour to bring you the most up to date information on Coming Soon and New Releases.
  • expand_moreDo you show Independent / Bollywood / Classic Movies?
    At Century Cinemas we have a wide variety of content available. As part of our Events Cinema programme we show Bollywood and Polish Language films regularly, we also have our Film Club which features a variety of limited release films. Our Events Cinema programme also includes live and pre-recorded Operas, Ballet, Concerts and Musical Theatre from all around the world. The Screens

  • expand_moreIs your seating allocated?
    Yes, we have allocated seating in all of our screens, when making a booking you will be required to choose your seats. We ask that you sit in the selected seats during the performance, a member of our team will be able to help if you require assistance.
  • expand_moreIs your cinema wheelchair accessible?
    Yes our cinema and all of our cinema screens are wheelchair accessible. You can call us on 074 912 1976 if you have any questions, or if you require any help when making your booking.
  • expand_moreWhat is a sensory friendly screening?
    For our Sensory Friendly screenings, we keep on the lights, lower the volume and we have limited ads (less than 1 minute) so there is no waiting around for the movie to start!
  • expand_moreCan I bring a baby into a film, do I have to pay for them? Are unaccompanied children admitted to the Cinema?
    For a baby in your arms, under the age of two there is no charge, however if your child needs to take up a seat then you will be asked to pay a child's price. We try to accommodate babies as best we can, age restrictions apply. If your baby becomes distressed we ask that you respect other customer's enjoyment of the film and leave the auditorium or we may have to ask you to leave. We reserve the right to refuse admission of children who are unaccompanied by an adult.

    Exclusive screen hire is available at Century Cinemas, ideal for private screenings and group bookings. We cater for all types of events, including birthday parties, special occasions, corporate meetings / functions, school groups and charity events. Booking Tickets

  • expand_moreDo I need to pre book tickets?
    We always recommend booking in advance to guarantee your tickets and to avoid disappointment. The easiest way to book tickets is on our Movies page or by using our Century Cinemas app.
  • expand_moreWhy is there a transaction charge / booking fee?
    The non-refundable transaction charge for Internet and Telephone bookings is applied because we offer the facility to pre-book and guarantee your tickets, this is a service warranting an additional fee. This is standard in the leisure / entertainment industry, e.g. when you book concert or theatre tickets you are charged a booking fee. The fee is detailed when the booking is requested and while you still have the opportunity to cancel your transaction.
  • expand_moreWhat does the term 'Free List Suspended' (FLS) mean?
    The term 'Free List Suspended' means that Free Tickets, cannot be used by a customer to see that film (This includes Admit One / Two, Family Pass, etc.). In most cases this applies for the first two weeks after a film's release date. This is a standard condition of the film distributors; Universal, Paramount, etc. It applies to all cinemas in the Ireland and is not a Century Cinemas decision.   • expand_moreDo you sell a Monthly/Annual Movie Pass?
    There are no plans at present to introduce a monthly movie pass.
  • expand_moreWhat is the Kids Club and do I need to be a member?
    Kids Club shows selected family movies for a reduced rate at the weekends and holiday periods, you do not need to be members ... don't forget to bring the kids with you though! Kids Tickets & Adult tickets are Ôé¼2.50 each for movies in our Kids Club. Check out our Kids Club page to see when the next kids club movie is scheduled.
  • expand_moreCan I get a refund for my pre booked cinema tickets?
    If you think you may have made a mistake with your booking or need to cancel your tickets for whatever reason, please call us on 074 912 1976 at least 2 hours before the movie is due to start. Alternatively, you can come instore before the movie start time and a member of our team will be able to help.
  • expand_moreI think my card may have been overcharged. What do I do?
    If you feel that you may have been overcharged, you can give us a call on 074 912 1976 and a member of our team will be able to look into it for you.

Backstage Bar & Grill

    We usually recommend booking your table in advance, especially at our busier times to avoid disappointment. Simply give us a call on 074 912 1976 and we can reserve a table for you.
  • expand_moreDo you have options available for customers with dietary requirements?
    We have a variety of options available for customers with dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and dairy free options. You can ask your server for more information or call us on 074 912 196.
  • expand_moreDo you offer any private dining options?
    Yes, we have private dining facilities available at Century Complex. Our Function Rooms ÔÇô Stage Right & Stage Left are perfect for celebrating a special occasion with family and friends. See our Function Rooms page for more information. Our sheltered outdoor area and BidaÔÇÖs Corner Bar are also available for private bookings. Century Play

  • expand_moreDo I need to book a play session or can I just show up?
    Booking is not required for Century Play, unless it is for a birthday party. You can find more information on our Kids Parties page.

  • expand_moreWhat is Sensory Tuesday?
    Sensory Tuesday takes place every Tuesday evening from 5-7pm. We relax the rules, turn off the arcade machines and the music in Century Play. Booking is not required, you can sign in and pay on arrival.
  • expand_moreDo you have a Parent & Toddlers Group?
    Yes, our Parent & Toddler Mornings take place every Wednesday from 10am-11.30am (except for when we have a private booking in Century Play). We have a fun activity every week for the little ones!

    We can cater for business and corporate events, we have lots of options available at Century Complex.     Private screen hire is available at Century Cinemas, ideal for conferences, training presentations, or for a private group movie screening.
